True Joy 04:52
Call it a spiral cause it takes time It isn’t a fall, it’s not a straight line It’s slow resign At the bottom to your surprise You feel fine In no time, things are clear Why would I leave here? I dare not interfere Steady rise of a tide, horizon lines disappear Friends come by “to say hi”, it’s all so insincere Cut ties in reply On the verge of tears So near Past the sky, into night The moon a chandelier Chromatic chimes ring on high Your heart loud with fear It’s here True joy that is final Just another spiral

Shut the doors, lay out plans List all the things that’d make it so you can Do everything you ever wanted to Write it down and it will be true Commit to a change just for a while New routines to keep in line It’s all with your happiness in mind So please stick with it this time But you won’t Zero faith you’ll ever escape Don’t deserve to anyway Why don’t you just give up? Everything slips by while you plan every night Dreaming of a new life where you can make things right But you won’t

Sure-fire 03:46
It’s easy, you know Love that is whole Often, it’s dull And on and on it goes There’s a constant fear in the background And not the kind that excites me Can’t keep my eyes from wandering Entertaining possibilities I would never say that So don’t you put that on me I feel attacked You’re so accusatory I would never do that That’s a false memory I’m not the enemy Oh, I’ll disintegrate If you won’t say it’s okay I said something painfully true I’ll rephrase to make it up to you I want you to know I only stay close To not be alone I would never say that So don’t you put that on me I feel attacked You’re so accusatory I would never do that That’s a false memory I’m not the enemy

about

Seen From A Highway is the debut album for Lunavolt.

Written and recorded over the course of two years, 'Highway' started with fully-masked writing sessions in a cramped room. Then, after moving across the city, it was recorded and finished in an even smaller room.
